The Rapid Earthquake Viewer (REV) was launched in 2005 with support from the University of South Carolina, The IRIS Consortium, and the National Science Foundation.

It served as a resource for teachers and the general public for more than a decade. However, except for a under-the-hood update in 2012, we have not been in a position to improve REV for many years. As a result, the website does not meet modern web design standards and has become increasingly hard to maintain. Thus, REV is being retired.

Thanks to everyone who became loyal followers over the years and who have encouraged us to keep REV going. Unfortunately, we can't.
